Here at Our Town Energy Alliance, we are a family company. And family listens. We have been asking our members what they wanted, how we could grow with them, and how we can improve their experience in our community. We have been working on integrating your suggestions into our programs. You asked for more types of communication, we rolled out text messages. You asked for a more accessible webpage, so we invested and redesigned the website. We rolled out a series of informational posts about the heating industry and how-tos. Y’all shared them all over the place. OG members also told us they missed the informational emails that our founder, Dan Barraford, used to send out.

We heard, we listened. But unlike some families, we don’t nag, so rather than send you emails, we will roll out a monthly informational blog. It will range from how-tos, ways to save money around the house, and industry information that explains some of the how and why of such a volatile industry.

We are pleased to announce we are working with an economic consultant to help us provide insightful analyses of the oil and gas industry. Currently a professor at the University of Texas at San Antonio Alvarez College of Business, Bulent Temel brings a wealth of expertise in economics, and is the author of around 60 publications to date. 

Dr. Temel attended Harvard University and the London School of Economics and was the recipient of a Life-Changing Educator Award in 2018 and a Best Financial Advisor in Southern California Award in 2008.

Bulent joined the family in 2010 and is the husband of Julia, our company President. They live in Austin, TX with their son. We look forward to leveraging his expertise for continued growth and success.
