For over 20 years, our family-run business has been more than just a heating fuel club for residents of New England – we’re a community that looks out for one another. That’s why we created our Special Assistance Program to ensure no one gets left behind during life’s most challenging seasons.
We have the privilege of getting to know our customers personally. With each annual renewal, we catch up, hear about your lives, and share in your joys and struggles. Over the years, we’ve lost beloved members to illness, aging, and life’s inevitable journeys. Just last week, we mourned the passing of a dear friend who had been with us for decades. At nearly 100 years old, she was always a delight to speak with, and we looked forward to our annual renewal conversations with her.
In her later years, this member found herself overwhelmed as a widow on a fixed income. She worried about missing deadlines and being unable to afford enough heating fuel to stay warm through the winter. That’s when we added her to our Special Assistance List, to make sure she never fell through the cracks.
The transitions of life – new babies and NICU stays, hospitalizations and traumatic injuries, caregiving for family members or the loss of a partner – can make it difficult to keep track of deadlines and paperwork.
